MUDLINES - An experiential space

The forces I observed are the subtle shifts in human movement influenced by the gradation of soil. Where gradation is a series of different experiential textures. And here it is shaped by the varying water content levels in the soil. The soil, in its changing states of firmness, slipperiness and softness, dictates the rhythm of movement; slowing down where the ground yields, a search for balance where it slips and a sense of grounding where it compacts beneath the feet. These variations shape the human behaviour and perception.
From these observations arises a provocation where it does not merely rest on the soil but converses with it, where the soil is both the material and the generator of activities, guiding how one moves, pauses, and engages.
